DESCRIPTION:The Highway 141 Garage Sale (www.141sale.com) is an annual event that brings together numerous communities along Iowa Highway 141 for a garage sale route that extends for over 100 miles (from Grimes to Manilla).  \n\nIf you live in Grimes and would like to host a sale\, you come to the right place.  Thanks to the investment of the many members of Grimes Chamber & Economic Development\, there is no charge to host an officially registered sale in Grimes.  All we ask is that you submit a well thought out listing and that you do your best to adhere to what you advertise (i.e. hours of operation). \n\nThe Chamber office will advertise the Grimes sales on Craig's List and prepare Community Sale Maps for officially registered Grimes sales.  No more than one sale per person or address is allowed.  Only sales in Grimes\, Iowa or that have a Grimes address will be accepted. LOCATION:The sale route follows Highway 141 across beautiful west central Iowa between Des Moines on the east and Mapleton on the west. The entire route is in excess of 177 miles in length. That is 100 miles of great garage sales\, countless bargains\, and hidden treasures just waiting to be found. In Grimes alone\, there will be dozens of sales to choose from\, which will be posted on the www.141sale.com website.
