Grimes Chamber & Economic Development is pleased to partner with Polk County to host a Strategic Planning Community Forum as part of the County’s countywide strategic planning initiative. This forum is an opportunity for local residents, business leaders, community organizations, and stakeholders to help shape the long-term vision and priorities for Polk County.
Polk County is currently working to develop a strategic plan that will guide policy, investments, and service priorities over the next 10 years. Through community forums and public input, the County is seeking feedback on key focus areas such as public health and human services, public safety, economic development and workforce readiness, infrastructure, quality of life, and government transparency.
Participants can expect a facilitated discussion designed to gather perspectives on current needs, future challenges, and opportunities to strengthen our communities. Input gathered during these sessions will help shape strategies, goals, and implementation priorities for the County moving forward.
We are proud to help convene this conversation in Grimes and encourage participation from business, nonprofit, civic, and community leaders, as well as interested residents. If you care about the future direction of Polk County and the role Grimes plays in that future, we encourage you to attend and share your perspective.
If you are unable to attend or would like another opportunity to share your insight, please consider participating in the Polk County Strategic Planning Survey, which can be found HERE.
