Our client serves thousands of Iowans in Central Iowa across nine locations. To ensure continued growth and employee engagement that ultimately results in a higher level of service, they are looking to hire a Human Resources Manager. This individual will be responsible for all employees in the organization and the managerial responsibility of a Learning & Development Coordinator. This individual will significantly impact the organization from PEO management, HRIS implementation, ongoing benefit education, recruitment, and retention.

What you will do: 
  • Implement human resources strategies and initiatives
  • Help with onboarding to ensure new employees understand their impact on total business strategy and vision
  • Monitor and evaluate grievances and counseling of employees and supervisors
  • Oversee payroll administration and reconciliation, including payroll processing
  • Enhance culture by staying current with market wages, insurance, and retirement plans
  • Ensure overall compliance with employment law and regulations
  • Recruit new employees through the creation of hiring practices with department leaders
  • Stay connected with the communities the institution is serving by being aware of networking and volunteering activities
What you will need to succeed:
  • Minimum 5 years of human resource experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study
  • PHR or other certifications are preferred
  • Ability to be bonded and pass credit checks
